Press call: Ambulance service volunteers train hundreds of youngsters in life saving CPR

Northumberland Church of England Academy, Josephine Butler Secondary, Ashington, NE63 9RX

WHAT –

To mark the national Restart a Heart Day, volunteers from North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) will be visiting schools across the region to train young people in CPR.

You will have the opportunity to interview Alex Wheeler, Community Development Officer at NEAS as well as a representative from the school.

There will also be an opportunity to film and speak to children as they take part in the lessons and to hear first-hand from Mike Jones, of Bedlington, whose life was saved by CPR earlier this year.
