Incident at South Shields beach - Monday 6 July 2026

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to an incident at South Shields beach on Monday 6 July at 21:21. We dispatched one ambulance crew, one clinical team leader and three HART resources. One patient was taken to South Tyneside Hospital for further treatment."
