Incident on Roker Beach, Sunderland - Thursday 1 January 2026

A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a incident on Roker Beach, Sunderland shortly before 12.30pm on 1 January. We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and a clinical team leader. One patient was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital."
