Road traffic incident on A19 Boldon Colliery - Wednesday, 6 May 2026

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A19 in the Boldon Colliery area at 4.44pm on 6 May.

"We dispatched one ambulance crew and two crews from our Hazardous Area Response Team. One patient was taken to South Tyneside Hospital and second patient treated and discharged on scene."
