Road traffic incident on Coast Road, South Shields - Tuesday 7 April 2026

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on Coast Road in South Shields at 10:45am on Tuesday 7 April. We dispatched one ambulance crew, one advanced care practitioner and two HART resources (Hazardous Area Response Team). One patient was taken to RVI hospital for further treatment."
