Road traffic incident on the A1,Metrocentre - Monday 2 March 2026

A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on the A1 near to the Metrocentre at 6.05pm on 2 March. A double crewed ambulance passing the incident stopped to assist. One patient was discharged at the scene and one patient was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital."
