Road traffic incident on the A167, Durham Road, Newton Aycliffe - Friday 23 January 2026

A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a one vehicle road traffic incident on the A167, Durham Road, Newton Aycliffe, shortly after 6.40pm on 23 January. We dispatched a double crewed ambulance and a clinical team leader. One patient was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital.
