Road traffic incident on the A189 in Ashington - Sunday 25 January 2026

A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a three vehicle road traffic incident on the A189 in Ashington shortly after 2pm on 25 January. We dispatched three double crewed ambulances and a duty office. One patient was treated and discharged at the scene and two patients were taken to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital."
