Road traffic incident on the A19 near Boldon - Monday 2 March 2026

A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a multi-vehicle road traffic incident on the A19 near Boldon at 6.14am on 2 March. We dispatched two double crewed ambulances, a clinical team leader and one vehicle from our Hazardous Area Response Team. A number of patients were treated and discharged at the scene and one patient was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital."
