Road traffic incident on the A197 between Pegswood and Ashington - Friday 27 March 2026

A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a road traffic incident on the A197 between Pegswood and Ashington at 9:01 on 27 March. We dispatched two double crewed ambulances, one vehicle from our Hazardous Area Response Team and a clinical team leader. One patient was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary and one patient was taken to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital."
