Road traffic incident on the roundabout off Blind Lane in Chester le Street - Wednesday 5 November 2025

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 6.27am on Wednesday 5 November to reports of a road traffic incident on the roundabout off Blind Lane in Chester le Street. We dispatched two ambulance crews to the scene and transported two patients to hospital for further treatment; one patient going to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) and the other going to the University Hospital of North Durham (UHND).”
