North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) next month.
The AGM provides an opportunity for members of the public, patients, Foundation Trust members, employees, governors and stakeholders to hear how NEAS has continued to make a difference to the lives of the people of the North East over the last 12 months.
This year’s event will be held at Kingston Park Stadium in Newcastle from 2pm-5pm on Thursday, 12 September and will start with a market place event, offering attendees the opportunity to take a tour of some of service’s vehicles and meet some of the teams responsible for:
- Training the current and next generation of clinical workforce
- Working alongside healthcare partners to ensure ambulance crews have alternative options to emergency departments for their patients
- Ensuring the Trust tries to meet the final needs of end-of-life patients
- Delivering care within the service’s Clinical Assessment Service
- Working within the region’s communities to provide life-saving skills
During the meeting, the service will present some of the highlights and achievements from the past year as well as reflecting on some of the challenges it has faced, and looking ahead to plans for the forthcoming year. There will also be an opportunity for questions.
