Spotlight on our Board: Raman Sanghera, non-executive director
This month, we asked non-executive director (NED) Raman Sanghera to tell us a little about him and how he feels about his role.
"I joined NEAS as a non-executive director in January 2021, bringing with me experience from across both the private and public sectors.
"My background is in accountancy, and I have worked in government. I am also a non-executive director of Karbon Homes, and I run my own hospitality business. I have experience in auditing, planning, and supporting change within large, complex organisations, which helps me contribute to NEAS as we continue to develop services around the needs of our patients. I’m also proud to chair the Audit and Risk Committee and to be the NED sponsor for the Trusts Together Network.
"My primary reason for joining NEAS as a non-executive director was to use my skills and experience to help make a lasting positive contribution to our communities and the care we provide to our patients. Reflecting back on my time at NEAS, I have been truly astonished and am so proud of just how much of an impact NEAS and our wonderful staff have had in our region."
