You're invited: Be among the first to hear our vision for the future at this year’s AGM
North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) is inviting colleagues, partners, stakeholders and members of the public to its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this October, where it will launch its new strategy for the next decade.
The event takes place at The Durham Centre in Belmont, County Durham between 2pm to 4pm on Thursday, 8 October and will bring people together to celebrate NEAS's strengths, explore the opportunities ahead and hear how the service plans to evolve.

The North East is a region of pride, resilience and opportunity. As healthcare needs, technology, workforce expectations and public services continue to change, the strategy sets out how NEAS will change too, while protecting the things that matter most.
Shaped through extensive engagement with colleagues, patients, communities and partner organisations, the strategy focuses on what must never change, as well as where NEAS must adapt.
As we look to the future, we do so from a position of strength. NEAS serves 2.7 million people across the North East, employs more than 3,600 colleagues and answered more than 1.475 million NHS 111 and 999 calls in 2025/26.
Attendees can also explore interactive displays and meet teams from across NEAS as they showcase their future plans and ambitions. Aligned with our new strategy, each display will demonstrate how teams are helping to deliver our vision for the next decade.
NEAS Chief Executive Kevin Scollay said: “This is an exciting moment for NEAS. We begin our next decade from a position of strength, trusted by patients, respected by partners and supported by highly skilled colleagues.
“Our new strategy is about turning change into opportunity and redesigning care around what matters most to our patients and communities. I look forward to welcoming colleagues and partners from across the region as we share our plans and open the next chapter together.”
NEAS Chair Stuart Corbridge added: "Our AGM provides an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past year and to look ahead to what's next.
"It is also an exciting moment for NEAS as we launch a new strategy that will guide our organisation over the long term and ensure we remain a modern, responsive and compassionate service for generations to come."
