NHS England will publish a report on their website on Wednesday following an independent review into alleged failures of patient safety and governance in the North East Ambulance Service (NEAS).

The Care Quality Commission will publish a report tomorrow, Friday 7 July, giving an update on their re-inspection of urgent and emergency care services in NEAS. They have shared a press release today with an embargo of 00:01 on 7 July.

North East Ambulance Service is once again appealing to the public to use services wisely as it prepares for another period of industrial action.

The GMB and Unison trade unions have informed their members that they have postponed the industrial action scheduled for later this week as they will be entering into negotiations with the government along with other health service unions.

As North East Ambulance Service prepares for further periods of industrial action following a dispute between trade unions and the Government over the 2022/23 pay award, it is once again appealing to the public to use services wisely.

North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) is urging the public again to only dial 999 for an ambulance during strike days for life-threatening conditions or injury.
